Set Of Six Roman Unguentarium
A delightful and wonderfully decorative, set of six Roam unguentarium. Varying in colour and shape, these vessels, mostly used for storing cosmetic oils, perfumes and lotions, often display iridescent surfaces and deposits as a result of long-term burial and chemical weathering, not as an intentional manufacturing technique. The rainbow-like sheen and flaky layers are the product of the glass interacting with its environment over centuries.
