George III Original Painted Armchair ( sold )
A beautiful, late 18th century carved beech armchair in the manner of John Linnell. Dry scraped back to its wonderful original cream paint, with green highlights and retaining its original squab cushion. With serpentine front rail, fine carved decoration all over, unusual square, leaf decorated feet and bold splay to the rear legs. In good condition, an old repaired crack to the front rail ( please see images ) which is strong and sturdy.
