19th Century Terracotta Figure Titled 'Fidelity' ( sold )
A beautiful, 19th century terracotta figure titled 'Fidelity'. Crisp and finely modelled, beautifully weathered and in very good condition, attributed to J M Blashfield.
Although not stamped, this figure has all the hallmarks of being produced by J M Blashfield, in their later years, when they produced wares in red terracotta. You can find an identical figure at 'The Treasurers House' in York, owned by the National Trust, this too is not stamped.
