18th Century Marble And Cast Iron console Table

A classically inspired and wonderfully decorative console table, made from an 18th century, Istrian marble panel, sat on a base which is constructed from a set of English Georgian cast iron legs. The panel, Italian and most probably from a church, is four inches thick and inlaid with specimen marbles, including porphyry and sienna, it has old repairs. The base is constructed from Georgian cast iron legs, from a Nottinghamshire Country House dairy.

Italian and English 18th and early 19th century
