J M Blashfield Terracotta Figure Of Cupid Sleeping

A wonderful and rare, mid 19th century, terracotta mantel piece figure of Cupid Sleeping, by J M Blashfield, after an original by Roubiliac. In very good condition, stamped 'Pubished by J M Blashfield Teracotta Millwall London'. This figure would have been made early in their production, it was made while the company was at Millwall, before they moved to Stamford in 1859.

English J M Blashfield circa 1850
