Large D Shaped Early 18th Century Lead Cistern

A wonderful example of a large scale, early 18th century, English Country House lead water cistern. Of bold D shape, the initials of M I S and date of 1721, centre a geometric outlined cartouche, flanked either side with garlands of flowers, fruit and winged cherubs, in very good condition, the back panel replaced.
