19th Century Cast Iron And Marble Console Table ( sold )
The most beautiful and rare mid 19th century cast iron and marble topped console table by James Yates of Rotherham. In excellent condition and retaining its original marble top, the base has been painted many times and the whole table is now weathered to perfection and can work as well in the house as in the garden.
James Yates (d.1881), was the founder of the firm of Yates, Haywood and Co. the ironfounders, at Effingham Works, Rotherham, and is noted for his high quality domestic ironware.
