Large Scale Compton Terracotta Band Pot On Trio Pedestal ( sold )
A magnificent and rare, large scale, Compton centrepiece garden urn. The large bowl, known as the 'band' bowl, sits on a trio pedestal with square sectioned stepped plinth, the whole in very good condition, couple of small nibbles to the edge of the bowl. I've never come across a 'band' bowl up for sale before, the only one i've ever seen is housed at the Watts Gallery Museum.
