19th Century Carved Stone And Bronze Sundial ( sold )
A wonderfully simple and understated, 19th century carved York stone sundial, its earlier, very rare bronze plate stamped William Webster, Exchange Alley, London. The whole in wonderful condition and beautifully weathered.
William Webster journeyman clockmaker, was active between 1727 - 1776 and apprenticed under Thomas Tompion, making this a very rare sundial plate indeed.
