A glorious pair of very large scale, 19th century, buff terracotta, gothic garden urns by James Pulham. In very good condition, chips and nibbles as would be expected.
James Pulham established the Pulham Company in 1820 and started manufacturing terracotta products from around 1846, through to the early part of the 20th century, specialising in exterior, landscape and garden ornaments, follies and grottos. They exhibited and won medals at London's Great Exhibition of 1851 and 1862 International Exhibition.
