A very rare 1920's terracotta Goat designed by Francis pope and manufactured by Royal Doulton.
Francis Pope was one of the School of Art students employed by Doulton and worked with the company until his death in 1925. Among the finest of Doulton's sculptors he adapted easily to the style of the 1920s. Produced as part of the bestiary series of garden animal statuary.
